Information Design One AG

Information Design One (ID1) has its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The company was founded in 1997 by Roman Gerike and Lynn Reiländer. Today, five teams are working at ID1 in design, concept, development, quality assurance and operations of information products.

The office of Information Design One is located in the center of Frankfurt am Main, near the main railway station.


Our office is at the Baseler Platz in the centre of Frankfurt southwards the main train station and located at a square called 'Baseler Platz' in a modern building with the name 'Oval'.

From Frankfurt Airport by taxi (15 minutes)

If you prefer a taxi it is recommended to budget 35 € and schedule a 15-20 minutes ride to Information Design. The taxi lane is located at the terminal 1 exits.

From Frankfurt Airport by train (30 minutes)

A convenient direct connection exists between the airport and the main train station ("Hauptbahnhof") nearby the office.

  • Within the Terminal buildings, find your way from the arrival exits down to the underground regional train station (tracks 1 - 3) located in terminal 1. Follow the "Frankfurt city" train station signage.
  • Regional trains (called "S-Bahn") in direction to Frankfurt city center and main station usually stop on platform 1 and run every 15 minutes. Watch out for platform and schedule announcements at the information panels.
  • You need to buy a ticket (4.25 € per person) at a ticket vending machine before entering the train.
  • You reach the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, the city's main train station after approx. 15 minutes, passing two stations ("Sportfeld Frankfurt", "Niederrad").
  • The office of Information Design is within walking distance from main station Frankfurt (5 minutes, see below).

From Frankfurt Main Station (5 minutes)

The office of Information Design is nearby the central railroad station, just a five minute's walk.

  • Exit main station through the south entrance (Süd-Ausgang).
  • Cross the street 'Mannheimer Straße' and follow the street 'Baseler Straße' straight on.
  • Change the street side at the traffic light shortly before 'Baseler Platz' and cross the street 'Gutleutstraße'.
  • Straight ahead is the main entrance of 'Oval'.
  • On your right hand side are the elevators. Our office is located at the 5th floor.

By car using highway A5

The office of Information Design is nearby the Frankfurt Trade Fair as a orientation point.

  • Take exit 'Westkreuz Frankfurt' from both directions and follow the highway towards 'Messe / Hauptbahnhof'.
  • Drive into Frankfurt by following the street straight ahead, passing trade fair (Messe), leaving the main station (Hauptbahnhof) behind on your right hand side, before you afterwards arrive at 'Baseler Platz'.
  • The building 'Oval' is now infront of you on your left hand side

Parking in the parking garage 'Baseler Arkaden'

Shortly before 'Baseler Platz' use the right lane towards 'Stadtmitte', surround the 'Baseler Platz' and drive straight ahead into 'Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße'. Turn left at the first street 'Wiesenhüttenstraße' and left again into 'Gutleutstraße'. On your left hand side is the parking garage 'Baseler Platz'.

  • Saturday: 10am - 9pm
  • Sunday: closed
  • Exit anytime through night exit.
  • Parking fees, every hour: 1,50€
  • Maximum night fee from 7pm to 7am: 3,00€
